Replace is a personal item-tracking app for logging usage, replacement schedules, and measurements (for example: shoe mileage, oil-change intervals, or weight over time). This policy explains what data the app handles and, just as importantly, what it does not.
Replace does not have accounts, does not require sign-in, and does not operate a backend server. All data you enter — items, entries, notes, and photos — is stored locally on your device only, in a local database. Nothing you enter is transmitted anywhere, uploaded to a server, or shared with the developer.
If you attach a photo to an item, it is selected from your device's camera or photo library using the standard Android system picker and saved locally within the app's own storage. Photos are never uploaded or transmitted off your device.
Replace can show local reminder notifications (for example, when a Schedule item is due for replacement). These are scheduled entirely on your device using Android's local notification system. No push notification service or remote server is involved, and no data leaves your device to generate them.
Replace offers an optional one-time purchase to unlock unlimited items. Purchases are processed entirely by Google Play Billing. Replace never receives, stores, or has access to your payment information — Google Play handles that directly under its own privacy policy. The app only receives a purchase status (purchased or not) from Google Play.
Replace does not include any analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. No data is shared with third parties, other than the purchase status described above, which Google Play provides as part of processing an in-app purchase you initiate.
Because all data lives only on your device, uninstalling the app deletes it. There is no server-side copy to separately request deletion of.
Replace does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children, since it collects no information from any user in the first place — everything stays on-device as described above.
